Family man, longtime musician, and Harrington native, Scott Bloodsworth released a 10-song album titled “20 Shades of Blues” on October 15, 2021. He blends southern rock and blues to create the backdrop for topics spanning from his origins with rock music, his lifelong journey with ADHD, and even a ballad inspired by the founder of Seaford Music in Seaford, Delaware.

Although Scott relies heavily on the familiar sound of southern rock and fun, dynamic guitar solos to win fans over, he doesn’t shy away from experimenting and reaching beyond those genres for song inspiration. “The Logie Bogey” is a playful ukulele-driven track that is sure to make you grin. There’s an obvious and tasteful nod to Robert Johnson and old school blues with brilliant slide guitar featured in “A Rag for Robert”. The last track on the album is an instrumental appropriately named “Chesapeake Sunset ''. It transports you to a beautiful beach complete with the sound of cozy acoustic guitar over top of seagulls calling and waves lapping up against a boat.

Scott mixed and produced the album at Scooter Studios in Georgetown Delaware. He enlisted the help of some guest features in the album that cover just about every county in Delaware and spans generations. Among the guests are southern Delaware heavy hitters like Adam Ask from Monkee Paw, Brian Bishop from Pistol Whipped, and Ron “Stretch” Thompson, Rick Webster and Kevin Ward from Scrapple. Representing New Castle county is Isaac Moore and Mitch Wessell from Reverse Giraffe. Alex Barie lends their musical ability by playing on the album as well as co-producing the album with Scott.

“This album is the culmination of 3 years worth of writing, and recording” Scott says in a statement. Slowed down and reflective during the Covid-19 pandemic, Scott was inspired by his own journey with PTSD and emergency medical experience to dedicate all proceeds from the album to PTSD support for local First Responders, Firefighters, EMS, Police, ED/Trauma Staff, and 911 Dispatchers.
