Our Story

In 2011, Gable Music Ventures formed in Wilmington, Delaware. Gayle Dillman, CEO, saw a need to create platforms for emerging artists to perform original music. Encouraging people to come and see live, original music, in the city was and still is our primary motivation. The first official Gable Music Ventures event was the Original Music Showcase on May 21, 2011 at the Siegel Jewish Community Center, featuring Baltimore's The Late Bloomer Band among others. Since then, Gable has continued to seek out and develop opportunities for countless artists in the Wilmington and surrounding areas.

We’ve curated events specifically designed for local cities, towns, and municipalities from free summer concert series, to larger day-long festivals like Smyrna At Night and Fortify Music Festival. We also collaborate with our clients to provide booking and production services to elevate their special events, like the Old Fashioned Ice Cream Festival, Natural Land’s Friday Night Lights and Field Jam concert evenings, and Mt. Cuba’s Wildflower Weekend. Additionally, we have worked with major banking institutions like Chase Bank and Barclay’s Bank of Delaware to fulfill needs for their corporate functions.

Nationally, the business is best known for their work producing the annual Ladybug Music Festival which has grown to become the largest free celebration of Women in Music in the country since 2012. The event expanded to Milford, Delaware in 2018 and has won numerous awards for downtown revitalization as well as been given fan awards for best live music event.
