Bandcamp Friday Roundup; October 2023

(From clockwise starting from the top left; Cypher Clique, Russy, LLOLLYANNA, Jazzylionman, Edgewater Avenue, shredderghost)

Check out this month's Bandcamp Friday Roundup to listen and support some of your favorites on one of the best days in music each month. For anyone unaware, Bandcamp Friday is when the online record store and music community, Bandcamp, dedicates the earnings made on that day to waiving their fees. This results in more money going directly to the artists who deserve it. Stop by and spread a little local love and support if you enjoy it.

If you’re a local musician and have new music coming out, send it to us to be included here!

Cypher Clique

Arguably one of the most consistent rap groups in Delaware, Dover rap trio Cypher Clique recently enjoyed a double release collaboration with fellow hip hop head Ski Beatz and producer David Anthony Willis titled Any Given Sunday. Check out their latest Bandcamp release in either the explicit or radio edited versions for however you prefer to listen.

Russy

Philadelphia bedroom indie musician Russy released a new single Danny on September 6. This track is a wall of beautiful sounds both electronic and acoustic coming together in West Philadelphia to reminisce about a long lost pal.

LLOLLYANNA

Rehoboth Beach indie rock band LLOLLYANNA released a full length album Out There Alive in August. This 12 track album contains lots of emotional lyrics and bright acoustic guitar slamming over dark and mysterious synth sounds.

Jazzy lion man

Delaware based producer, Jazzy lion man, uses news audio clips about shootings, police chases and daytime television pro wrestling on top of chill piano and old soul samples in their latest release Don’t Skip The Lion, out August 26. This 13 track collection of music is a collaboration with fellow artist Skip the Kid.

Edgewater Avenue

Wilmington Americana band Edgewater Avenue released their self-titled EP Edgewater Avenue into the world on September 2. This five song EP is sure to get you up and shuffling at one of their local gigs. Check out their website to see where they’ll be playing next.

shredderghost

Ambient noise artist shredderghost just dropped a spectacular and transcendental live performance to their Bandcamp on September 9. The recording takes place in Washington DC at the Art Sound Language record store.
